What is a chemical peel
A chemical peel is a professional-strength acid solution applied to clean skin for a controlled amount of time. It loosens the bonds between old surface cells so they shed, and at deeper strengths it signals the skin to renew from below. The result is a brighter, smoother surface and, over a series, fewer marks and clogged pores.
Peels are chosen by depth. A light peel is a lunchtime refresh with little visible flaking, a medium peel reaches further and brings a few days of peeling, and deeper options are reserved for specific concerns after a full assessment. Your aesthetician will match the acid, strength and timing to your skin.
Because Denver sun is strong year-round, we plan deeper peels for the cooler months and pair every peel with a simple aftercare kit: a gentle cleanser, a plain moisturizer and a mineral sunscreen you will actually wear.
What peels can help with
Dull skin
Brighter, more even surface after light peels.
Clogged pores
Salicylic blends help clear congestion.
Acne marks
Leftover spots fade faster over a series.
Sun spots
Medium-depth peels lift surface pigment.
Fine lines
Smoother texture around the eyes and mouth.
Rough texture
A softer, more polished feel.
What clients like about them
Quick visit
Most peels take about thirty minutes.
Adjustable strength
From a gentle refresh to a stronger reset.
Boosts home care
Products absorb better on renewed skin.
Series friendly
Light peels can be repeated every four weeks.
Pairs well
A strong partner for facials and IPL.
Visible glow
Many clients notice brighter skin within days.
Looking after new skin
Do not pick
Let flaking skin shed on its own schedule.
Hydrate
Use a gentle cleanser and a plain, rich moisturizer.
Sunscreen daily
Mineral SPF 30 or higher, reapplied outdoors.
Pause actives
Skip retinoids and exfoliants for about a week.
Choose your depth
Light peel
Gentle acids such as lactic or mandelic for glow, mild texture and early congestion. Little to no visible peeling, and makeup is fine the next day. A good monthly habit.
Medium peel
Blended or stronger acids for sun spots, acne marks and fine lines. Expect three to five days of visible peeling, so plan around social events and sun exposure.
Targeted peel
Spot or deeper formulas for specific concerns chosen after consultation. Recovery takes about a week and pre-treatment skin prep is required.

Questions about chemical peels
Light peels rarely show visible flaking. Medium peels usually peel for three to five days starting around day two, so we plan them away from events.
Most clients feel tingling or warmth for a few minutes while the solution is on. A small fan and cool compresses help, and the feeling fades once the peel is neutralized.
Light peels can be repeated about every four weeks. Medium peels are usually spaced two to three months apart. Your aesthetician will set the rhythm.
Light peels can be done year-round with strict sunscreen use. Deeper peels are easier to schedule in fall and winter when sun exposure is easier to avoid.
Anyone pregnant or nursing for certain acids, anyone on isotretinoin in the last six months, and anyone with active cold sores or broken skin in the area.
