Your First Neuromodulator Appointment, Step by Step

September 15, 2026Injectables, First visitsBy the Linden team

A first neuromodulator visit takes about forty-five minutes, and most of that time is talking. The injections themselves take only a few minutes. You leave with a written plan, simple aftercare and a two-week follow-up already on the calendar.

Before you arrive

When you book, we send a short health history. Please list supplements as well as medications, since some can increase bruising. If your provider approves it, pausing fish oil and alcohol for a few days beforehand can help. Arrive with a clean face, or give us a minute to cleanse it.

In the treatment room

  1. Conversation

What bothers you, what you like about your face and what you would never want to change.

  2. Movement check

You frown, squint and raise your brows while your provider notes the working muscles.

  3. Photos and plan

Standardized photos, then a conservative unit count written into your chart.

  4. Injections

A few fine-needle points per area, with ice available for comfort.

A conservative first dose is not timid. It gives us a baseline for every visit after it.

After you leave

Stay upright for four hours, skip hard workouts and facial massage until the next day, and do not press on the treated areas. Small bumps usually fade within the hour. Most people start to notice a change around day three to five, and the full effect typically appears by two weeks, when we see you again.
