Nadia Okafor
Associate Attorney
Every client knows who is handling their file. Here is who that will be.
Backgrounds, practice areas and how each of us likes to work.
Nadia handles wage and hour claims, separation agreements and workplace investigations. Before law school she managed a restaurant kitchen for six years, so she has read more pay stubs than most people ever will. She joined the firm in 2019 and leads our employment practice.

Josiah co-founded the firm in 2004 after a decade of commercial practice in Charlotte. He works with owner-run companies on formation, contracts, buyouts and sales, and with landlords on leases and title problems. He still answers his own phone on Friday afternoons.

Maren leads our estate planning and probate work and mediates partner disputes before they turn into lawsuits. She grew up in Madison County, taught high school civics for three years, and believes a good will should be readable at the kitchen table.

Each attorney leads one practice and keeps a caseload small enough to know every file by heart. When a matter crosses lines, say a business sale that includes a lease, the lead attorney pulls in a colleague for that piece and tells you who is doing what.
Two paralegals handle scheduling, document collection and filings, so the attorney you hired spends their time on the legal questions, and you have one person to call for status.
Usually the practice area decides, but tell us if you have a preference and we will do our best to honor it.
Yes, for scheduling, document collection and filings. Legal advice always comes from your attorney.
In this demo the attorneys are fictional. On a live site this answer would list each attorney’s bar admissions.

You speak with an attorney, not a call center. No obligation, and we tell you on that call whether we are the right fit.
