Where it started
The family arrived with one sentence: make the ground floor work on a Tuesday night. Four people, one dog, homework at the table and dinner going at the same time.
We moved the kitchen to the south wall, took out the corridor and let the floor run from the front window through to the garden door. A single run of oak joinery absorbs the rest of the work, most of it behind flush doors.

Surfaces and fittings
Everything is lime plaster, white oak and honed bluestone. The palette is short on purpose so the rooms can take a decade of scuffs and still read calm.
Cabinetry is solid oak with a hand rubbed oil finish. The island is one bluestone slab, and the plank floor is laid on the diagonal to pull light deeper into the plan.
Keep looking.
