Denise Holloway

Denise founded Larkspur Legal Group after twenty years at a large downtown firm, wanting to build a practice where clients always know who is handling their matter. She built her early career advising manufacturers and family companies through ownership transitions.

Her corporate practice covers commercial contracts, governance, acquisitions and business disputes for companies across Colorado. Her transactional work draws on decades of seeing which contract clauses matter when a relationship breaks down. Her approach starts by learning how the business actually earns money before reviewing any contract.

She serves as outside general counsel to several regional businesses, attending board meetings and helping leadership weigh legal risk alongside business goals. She prefers short, regular check-ins to long memos, so small questions are answered before they grow.

Denise personally reviews how the firm communicates with clients, from intake calls to closing letters, and she still reads client feedback every month. She meets new associates personally to explain the service standards that have shaped the firm since its first year.

She chairs a scholarship fund for first-generation law students and is an avid reader of Western history. She spends quiet evenings in her garden and volunteers at a public library literacy program.
