Attorney

Nadia Whitfield

Nadia guides parents and spouses through divorce, custody and support questions with calm judgment and a clear view of what each decision means years from now.

Portrait of Nadia Whitfield

Nadia has focused on family law for eleven years. She joined Larkspur after several years at a Boulder firm where she handled high-conflict parenting cases. She began her career handling guardian ad litem work, which gave her a child's-eye view of these cases.

She knows most clients come to her during the hardest months of their lives. Her first meetings are unhurried, with time to explain the process and answer every question. She sends a plain-language outline of the Colorado process after that meeting, so clients can reread it when the details blur. She never recommends a strategy without first asking what daily life should look like a year from now.

Her practice includes divorce, parenting time, support and property division. She is comfortable at the mediation table and in the courtroom, and prepares for both. Many of her cases settle in mediation, and she prepares each session with proposed parenting schedules and budgets already drafted.

Nadia works closely with financial professionals when a case involves business interests or retirement accounts, so settlement numbers rest on accurate valuations.

She lives in Highland with her family and serves on the board of a nonprofit that provides supervised exchange services for parents. On weekends she is usually at a climbing gym or hiking the trails above Golden.
