IPL Photofacial

Broadband light for sun spots, freckling and diffuse redness, for a more even tone across face, neck and chest.

A clearer, more even tone

Light therapy for spots and redness

An IPL photofacial uses intense pulsed light, a broad band of light filtered to target brown pigment and small red vessels in the skin. Pigment darkens and flakes away over about a week, and redness softens over a series, leaving a more even tone.

IPL suits lighter to medium skin tones and on skin that has not seen recent sun. We review your skin type carefully, test settings on a small area and plan most series in the cooler months, when it is easier to keep treated skin out of the sun.

Between sessions we ask you to keep a simple routine: a gentle cleanser, a moisturizer and a broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning. Spots that darken after treatment should be left to flake away on their own, which usually takes five to seven days, and most people wear makeup over them without any trouble.

“I was nervous about looking frozen. Brynn used less than I expected, booked me back two weeks later, and my sister only noticed that I looked rested. That was exactly what I wanted.”
