Wrinkle Relaxers
Neuromodulator injections that soften frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet while keeping your expressions your own.

Softer lines, still your expressions
A measured approach to wrinkle relaxers
Wrinkle relaxers are small injections of a purified neuromodulator that quiet the specific muscles behind expression lines. Placed well, they soften a frown or a lined forehead without flattening the way you look when you laugh or speak.
At Vellum every first appointment starts with watching you move. We map each muscle at rest and in motion, begin with conservative doses and bring you back at two weeks to judge the result together. Many clients notice a rested look rather than a change anyone can name.
Most first-time clients start with one or two areas, usually the frown lines and forehead, because those are the lines people see most in photographs and on video calls. We would rather under-treat slightly at the first visit and add a few units at the two-week check than give you a heavy, surprised look that takes months to wear off. That is also why we photograph you in the same light every time: small changes are easy to miss in a mirror and easy to see side by side.
Timing matters too. If you have a wedding, a work event or a trip coming up, book at least three weeks ahead so the result has fully settled and there is time for a touch-up. Most clients return every three to four months, and some find they need slightly less product over time as the treated muscles become less dominant.

What a first appointment covers
- Medical history and medication review with a nurse
- Photographs in consistent clinic light
- Mapping of each muscle at rest and in expression
- Conservative dosing with a written plan
- Two-week check included, with a top-up if needed

Areas we treat most
Most plans combine one to three areas. We talk through what each area changes before anything is drawn up.
01
Frown lines
The vertical “elevens” between the brows, often the first area people notice in photographs.
02
Forehead
Horizontal lines that deepen when you raise your brows, treated lightly to keep brow movement.
03
Crow’s feet
Fine lines at the outer eye that show most when you smile, softened without freezing the smile.
04
Lower face
Masseter relaxing for jaw clenching and a slimmer lower face, plus chin dimpling.

Kind words about wrinkle relaxers

“I was nervous about looking frozen. Brynn used less than I expected, booked me back two weeks later, and my sister only noticed that I looked rested.”

“Danielle tested a small patch first and walked me through the whole calendar for my laser series. The clinic runs on time, and nobody tried to sell me a package I did not need.”

“After two peels with Marisol my skin feels smoother and my makeup sits better. She gave me a short routine on one card instead of a bag of products.”

Wrinkle Relaxers FAQs
How long do wrinkle relaxers last?
Typically three to four months for most facial areas, a little longer for the masseter. Your own timeline depends on muscle strength and metabolism.
Does it hurt?
Most clients feel a quick pinch at each point. We can use ice or a cooling roller beforehand if you prefer.
Is there downtime?
Little to none. Small bumps fade within an hour. We ask you to stay upright for four hours and skip hard exercise that day.
Who should wait?
We postpone treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding and with certain neuromuscular conditions. Tell us your full history when you book.
