About this treatment
A chemical peel is an acid solution applied to the skin for a measured time, then neutralized or left to self-limit. It loosens the bonds between dead surface cells so they shed, revealing fresher skin underneath. Depending on strength, peels can brighten dull tone, soften fine lines, help with congestion and even out sun spots and patchy pigment.
We keep to light and medium-depth peels, chosen by your skin type and your calendar. A light peel has little or no visible peeling. A medium peel usually flakes for four to seven days and needs a free week. Many clients do a series of three light peels, a month apart, in the cooler months when the sun is lower.
We rarely start with a medium peel. Most clients begin with one or two lighter peels, often with two weeks of home preparation first, so we can see how their skin responds before going deeper. Preparation matters most for richer skin tones and for anyone with pigmentation, because well-prepared skin is less likely to react with darker patches. After every peel you go home with written aftercare, a small kit and a direct line to the nurse. We ask you to send a photograph on day three if anything feels unexpected, and we check in ourselves at the end of the week.

Patience, then glow.
Day one looks like a light sunburn. Days two to five bring tightness and flaking along the mouth and nose. By day seven most clients have fresh, even skin. We send you home with a gentle cleanser, a barrier cream and a mineral sunscreen, and we answer messages all week.

Asked at every consult.
- Will I peel a lot?
- Light peels often cause no visible peeling at all. Medium peels usually flake for four to seven days. We choose the depth with your calendar in mind.
- Are peels suitable for sensitive skin?
- Often, with the right acid and strength. We may start with a lighter peel and a short prep routine so your skin is ready.
- Which time of year suits peels?
- Autumn and winter are ideal because the sun is lower and it is easier to avoid. We can still do light peels in summer with strict sunscreen use.
- Can peels help with melasma?
- Peels can be part of a melasma plan, alongside daily sunscreen and home care. Melasma is persistent and results vary, so we set expectations carefully.
- How soon can I wear makeup?
- After a light peel, usually the next day. After a medium peel, we suggest waiting until flaking has settled, around day five to seven.
- Can I combine a peel with other treatments?
- Often, with spacing. We usually leave two weeks between a peel and RF microneedling or laser, and we avoid peels over areas treated with injectables in the previous few days.
- How many peels will I need?
- It depends on the goal. A single light peel gives a quick brightening; a series of three light peels a month apart is typical for uneven tone, and deeper concerns may need a medium peel once the skin is prepared. We review your photographs after each peel before booking the next one.
