Cosmetic Bonding
Artful composite that closes gaps and softens edges.
Cosmetic Bonding
Bonding uses tooth-coloured composite, sculpted and polished directly onto the tooth, to close a small gap, rebuild a chipped edge or reshape a tooth that sits slightly out of line. Often it needs no drilling at all.

It is the lightest touch in cosmetic dentistry, and in the right hands it is invisible. Dr. Belgrave layers and shapes the composite chairside, reading the tooth beside it so the repair simply disappears.
Bonding is a beautiful answer for a single chipped edge or a narrow gap, and a common ingredient in a larger makeover. It is reversible, gentle and usually done in a single visit.

- Rebuilding a chipped or worn edge
- Softening a tooth that sits proud
- Refining shape within a makeover
- Tooth-coloured, hand-sculpted composite
- Usually no anaesthetic required
- Reversible and enamel-kind
- Polished to a natural lustre

Good to know
Does bonding stain?
Composite can pick up colour over years, more than porcelain. A polish refreshes it, and we will advise when a veneer is the longer-lasting choice.
Is it strong enough?
For edges and gaps, yes, with sensible care. For heavy wear or a full reshape, we may recommend porcelain instead.
Book a bonding appointment and we will reshape that one edge that has always bothered you.
