Mara opened Brightwave after a decade in busier offices, on the belief that a dental visit should feel bright and easy. She grew up in Sunhaven and chose the big south windows before she chose the equipment.

Our story
We stay small on purpose
Brightwave began with a simple frustration: too much dentistry that felt rushed, cold, and quietly upsold. Dr. Mara Reyes built a practice to fix that, where a friendly team does the work and every recommendation carries its reasoning and its price.
We keep the roster short so the hygienist who knows your kids' names is the one you see next time. It is a slower way to grow a practice, and a far better way to look after a family.
How we grew, one gentle step at a time
2015
Two chairs on Marlow Avenue
Dr. Mara Reyes opened Brightwave with one hygienist and a stubborn idea: run the practice bright, friendly, and unhurried enough to actually know people.
2018
The membership plan began
So many neighbors had lost dental coverage that we built our own in-house plan, priced flat and honest, with no insurance company in the middle.
2021
A family wing
We added rooms and a second dentist so kids, parents, and grandparents could all be seen under one roof on the same afternoon.

Nine thousand smiles
We crossed nine thousand smiles looked after while keeping the same small team and the same friendly, unrushed way of working.

Alex handles much of our restorative and same-day work, and is the calm voice anxious patients quietly ask for by name. Unhurried by temperament, precise by training.
