Small problems, caught while they are still small.
Prevention is the least glamorous and most valuable dentistry there is. A cleaning and a careful look twice a year is how a lifetime of teeth stays a lifetime of teeth, at a fraction of the cost and none of the drama.
Why the rhythm matters more than the rule
Twice a year is a fine starting point, not a law. If your gums are healthy and your risk is low, we may leave you on a six-month rhythm for years. If you have a history of gum trouble, we may suggest a three or four month interval, because the bacteria that drive it return within about ninety days of a cleaning. We set your recall around your own mouth and book the next visit before you leave, so it never quietly slips off the calendar.
Sealants, fluoride and the honest math
A sealant is a thin coat painted into the deep grooves of a back tooth, where a toothbrush bristle simply cannot reach. On a child's new molars it can head off a decade of fillings for a few minutes in the chair. Fluoride does quiet, similar work, remineralizing enamel before a soft spot ever becomes a cavity.
None of this is exciting, and that is the point. The best outcome of a hygiene visit is that nothing needs doing, we tell you so, and you go back to your day. When we do spot something, you will have caught it at the cheapest, gentlest, most fixable moment it will ever be at.
