A Cleaning That Doesn't Make You Brace
Sensitive teeth, a strong gag reflex, or plain old dread can turn a routine cleaning into something you cancel every year. We slow the whole thing down, numb where it helps, and offer nitrous for hygiene visits, so a clean mouth stops being a battle.
Careful, Comfortable Gentle Cleanings
- Slow, patient hygiene with frequent breaks
- Topical numbing for sensitive teeth
- Nitrous available for cleanings
- Gentle techniques for a strong gag reflex
Built Around The Things That Make You Cancel
For sensitive teeth, we warm the water, use topical numbing, and work in gentle passes with breaks whenever you need them. For a strong gag reflex, we adjust your position, pace the visit, and can add nitrous to switch off the trigger entirely. None of this is unusual to us. It is simply how a cleaning should feel.
Your hygienist explains each instrument before it goes near you and checks in constantly. You set the pace, and a raised hand pauses everything. Most patients who once dreaded cleanings tell us this is the first one they have finished relaxed.
Why The Rhythm Matters
Twice a year is a starting point, not a rule. If your gums are healthy we may keep you on a six-month rhythm for years. If you have a history of gum trouble we may suggest a three or four month interval, because the bacteria that drive it return within about ninety days. We set your recall around your own mouth and book the next visit before you leave.
