Willowmere Dental
Your First Visit

Know exactly what to expect, before you walk in.

The unknown is half the fear. Here is your whole first visit, start to finish, so nothing about it is a surprise.

A welcome built for the nervous

If it has been years, if a past visit went badly, if the sounds alone make your shoulders climb, you are exactly who this practice is for. Your first appointment is designed to hand you the pace and keep it there.

How the first visit flows

01

Tell us your worries

Before your first visit we ask what has made the dentist hard for you, so the whole team knows your pace before you arrive. No detail is too small.

02

Settle in, no rush

You arrive to a quiet room, not a waiting-room TV. Blanket, headphones and a warm greeting first. We agree on your stop signal before anything begins.

03

A gentle look, together

A careful exam and low-dose digital x-rays, shown to you on the screen as we go. You hear findings in plain words, with time to ask anything.

04

A plan you choose

If care is needed, you get honest options and clear numbers, and you decide what happens next and when. Nothing gets booked without your yes.

01

Longer than a normal first visit

We block extra time for new patients on purpose. It means the exam is unhurried, your questions get real answers, and you leave understanding your mouth instead of clutching a treatment plan you did not follow.

02

Comfort options ready from the start

Weighted blankets, headphones, noise-cancelling and sedation are all on the table from your very first appointment, offered freely. You never have to ask twice or feel like you are being difficult.

03

No surprises at checkout

You will see the cost of anything we recommend before it happens, and our front desk will walk through insurance or the membership plan with you. The only thing waiting at the end is the next friendly reminder.

Common Questions

The things patients ask first

A lot, and none of it is a gimmick. We book longer appointments so nothing is rushed, explain every step before it happens, and let you set a stop signal you can raise at any moment. Blankets, headphones and noise-cancelling are always on offer, and if you want to be more deeply relaxed, we can talk about sedation. Most anxious patients tell us the fear fades once they learn the room is theirs to control.

Yes. We offer nitrous oxide, which wears off within minutes, and oral sedation for deeper relaxation when it suits you. Every option is reviewed against your health history first, your vitals are monitored throughout, and a team member stays with you the whole time. We will always start with the lightest approach that keeps you comfortable.

Twice a year is a good starting point, not a hard law. If your gums are healthy and your risk is low, we may leave you on a six-month rhythm for years. If you are prone to gum disease, we might suggest every three or four months, because the bacteria return within about ninety days of a cleaning. We set your rhythm around your mouth and explain the reasoning.

We accept most PPO dental plans and file the paperwork for you. If you have no insurance, our in-house membership plan covers your preventive visits and takes a set percentage off everything else, with no deductibles or claim forms. Either way, you will see clear numbers before we begin, never a surprise at checkout.
