Preventative Care in Your Twenties and Thirties: A Realistic View

May 20, 2026Injectables, SkincareBy the Linden team

Most of what prevents early lines is unglamorous: daily sunscreen, not smoking, sleep and a simple routine. Light clinic treatments, such as small doses of wrinkle relaxers or regular facials, can be part of prevention for some people, but they are optional.

What actually ages skin early

Sun exposure is the largest single driver of visible skin aging, and in Colorado it adds up quickly. Smoking, poor sleep and repeated strong expressions also play a part. Genetics set the baseline; habits decide how fast change arrives.

Where clinic care fits

  1. Sun habits first

Daily SPF and a hat do more than any single treatment.

  2. Routine second

A retinoid and antioxidant serum, introduced slowly.

  3. Facials

Regular medical facials for clarity and hydration.

  4. Light dosing

Small wrinkle relaxer doses for strong expression lines, if you choose.

Prevention is mostly habit. Treatment is optional, and that is fine.

A note on pressure

You do not need injectables to take good care of your skin. If you are curious, a consultation is simply a conversation with no obligation. We will tell you honestly when a treatment would add little for you right now.
