Warm Oak House
One unbroken oak floor tying an entry, kitchen, and living room into a single calm, warm space.
A single floor, three rooms, one warm thread
The owners wanted to lose the seams between their entry, kitchen, and living room. Our answer was one continuous engineered-oak floor in a soft matte oil, warm underfoot and quiet enough to let the rest of the home speak.
We surveyed light and traffic first, then set a narrow herringbone inset at the door to mark arrival without interrupting the run. The result feels less installed than always-there.

Brief and survey
A sunlit family home wanted one warm oak floor to run unbroken from the entry through the kitchen and living room, tying three rooms into a single calm space.
Material and pattern
We chose wide engineered oak in a soft matte oil, with a narrow herringbone inset at the entry to mark the threshold without breaking the flow.
Install and finish
The floor was laid over one clean week, acclimatized, cut tight to every wall, and finished on site so the grain reads seamlessly room to room.
