Dog Park Days Without the Drama
Vaccines, water, play styles and the warning signs to watch for so a trip to the park stays fun for your dog.

Dogs age faster than we do, and many of the signs of getting older are easy to miss because they appear slowly: a pause before the stairs, a longer nap after a walk, a little hesitation getting into the car.
Comfort at home starts with the floor. Rugs and runners on wood or tile give older paws something to grip, and a ramp or step can save a lot of strain getting onto the couch or into the car.
Most senior dogs do not need a big change. They need ten small ones, made a little at a time.
Around seven or eight for most dogs, a little earlier for large breeds.
Sometimes, but stiffness can also mean pain we can help with. Mention it at your next visit.
