Vaccinations
Vaccine schedules shaped around your pet's age, health and lifestyle, so they get the protection they need and nothing they do not.

Vaccinations
Vaccines are one of the simplest ways to protect a pet from serious illness, but the right set is not the same for every animal. A city cat who never goes outside has different needs from a lake-cabin dog who swims, hikes and boards with friends. We start by asking how your pet actually lives, then recommend the core vaccines every pet should have plus only the lifestyle vaccines that make sense.
Every vaccine is given after a quick exam to make sure your pet is well enough that day. We record the product, lot and date in your pet's chart, print or email the certificate you need for boarding or grooming, and set reminders so nothing lapses.

Who it is for
Puppies and kittens need a short series of vaccine visits a few weeks apart, because protection from their mother fades at an unpredictable age. Adult pets then move to boosters at one to three year intervals, depending on the vaccine and on how they live.
Lifestyle questions shape the plan. Tell us about boarding, grooming, daycare, dog parks, hiking, lake trips and travel out of state, and whether a cat ever goes outside or lives with a dog who does. We use those answers to recommend only the lifestyle vaccines that fit, and we revisit them as life changes.
What is included
- Core vaccines for dogs and cats, including rabies
- Lifestyle vaccines matched to boarding, travel and outdoor time
- A short exam before every vaccine visit
- Certificates sent by email for groomers, daycare and boarding
Mild sleepiness or a sore spot for a day is common after a vaccine. Call us if you see facial swelling, hives, vomiting or anything that worries you; our team will advise you right away during open hours.
By life stage
| Vaccine type | Who needs it | Typical interval |
|---|---|---|
| Core (dog) | Every dog | 1 to 3 years after the puppy series |
| Core (cat) | Every cat, indoor too | 1 to 3 years after the kitten series |
| Lifestyle | Boarding, daycare, hiking, travel | Yearly, if the lifestyle fits |
Good to know
Over-vaccinating is not good care, and neither is letting protection lapse. We follow current guidance on intervals, which means some vaccines are given every three years rather than every year. Your reminder emails only list what is truly due, and our team will explain each one if you ask.
From our doctors
We keep vaccine visits short and calm. Most pets barely notice the injection while they are busy with a treat, and we use the smallest needle that suits the vaccine. If your pet has ever reacted to a vaccine, tell us before the visit: we can give a medication beforehand, split doses across separate days and keep your pet with us a little longer afterward to watch how they do.
Pricing facts: Single vaccines start at $32 with a short exam. Plans include core vaccines.
Illustrative pricing. Not an offer.
Vaccinations questions, answered
Yes, the core ones. Viruses can come in on shoes and clothing, and rabies vaccination is required by law for cats as well as dogs.
Absolutely. Send them before the visit or ask us to request them, and we will carry the dates over.
Usually yes. For sensitive pets we may split vaccines across two short visits.
Nothing dramatic. We will look at the gap and tell you whether to give one dose or restart part of the series.
No. Most adult pets get their boosters during the yearly wellness exam, so one appointment covers both and your pet only makes one trip in the car.
Senior pets still need core protection. We look at age and health together and may adjust intervals or split doses for frail patients.
We send email and text reminders a few weeks ahead, and every due date appears on your visit summary.
