A first visit that a kid enjoys

The team here works the way good children's care always has, with a rhythm called tell-show-do. Theo tells a child what each step will be, in kid language, shows them the little water sprayer on a fingernail first, and only then does anything happen in their mouth. Surprise is most of what frightens a child, so we take the surprise away.

The first cavity is never really about the tooth. It is about whether a kid decides, at eight, that the dentist is a scary place. Handled gently, it stays a small memory instead of becoming a lifelong flinch, and that is worth more than any filling.

Care that grows with the family

Because we see the whole household, we can spot the patterns that matter early: the bite that needs watching, the habit worth breaking, the sealant that heads off a decade of fillings. Parents can book back-to-back visits, ask every question, and never feel rushed. It is the version of family dentistry we wanted for our own kids, which is exactly why we built it.

Tell, show, do

How Theo walks a nervous child through a first cleaning

Surprise is most of what frightens a child in a dental chair, so we take the surprise away first. The same four beats happen every visit, in the same order, until the room stops being unfamiliar.

01

Tell

Every instrument gets a kid-sized name and a plain explanation before it comes out of the drawer. The little suction is the straw. The polisher is the tickle brush. Nothing is a secret.

02

Show

The tool is demonstrated on a fingernail or the back of a hand first, so they feel the buzz and the water somewhere safe and decide for themselves that it is survivable.

03

Do

Only then does anything go in a mouth, one tooth at a time, narrated as we go. A raised hand stops everything, and we mean it, which is the part that builds the trust.

04

Finish proud

Every visit ends with the mirror, a genuine bit of praise for the thing they did well, and a choice from the drawer. They leave a little braver than they arrived.

Why we start early
1stbirthday

The visit that costs almost nothing and changes almost everything

A first dental visit around the first tooth or the first birthday is mostly a lap exam and a conversation with the parent about bottles, brushing, and fluoride. It takes ten minutes and it is the single cheapest appointment in dentistry, because it is the one that prevents the expensive ones.

Good questions

The things people ask about family & children's

Around the first tooth or the first birthday, whichever lands first. It is short, gentle, and mostly for the parent: how to brush a toddler, what a bottle at bedtime does, when to worry about a thumb. Starting that early is why so many of our teenagers are relaxed in the chair.
Always, for as long as you both want. Some kids do better with a parent holding a hand, some do better performing for us alone. You know your child, and we take our cue from you.
Then we do not force it. A first visit can be nothing more than a ride in the chair and a tour of the room, and we book a short follow-up. Nothing is lost by going at their pace, and a great deal is lost by rushing it.
Yes. The child plan runs $26 a month for ages twelve and under and covers two cleanings, two exams, and routine x-rays for the year, with twenty percent off anything else. Family sign-ups are common here for exactly that reason.
Gladly. We look after four generations of some families, from a first tooth to a new denture, and there is real value in one team knowing the whole household's history.
