About the studio.
Who we are, how we work, and why every Bastide. project stays with the same small team from first sketch to final walk-through.

Where can we help you build?
Houses & homes
Private houses drawn around the way you actually live, then detailed to age gracefully for decades.
Learn moreOne team throughout
One team, one conversation. The people who draw your project are the people you meet on site.
Learn moreQuiet technology
Warm materials and quiet technology, resolved so the building works harder and asks for less.

Our design approach.
We start every commission by listening, then draw slowly. A house should feel inevitable, as if it could not have been any other way, and that only happens when the plan follows real life instead of a trend.
- Modern
- Practical
- Timeless
Custom made plans.
No two sites are the same, so no two plans should be. Every drawing that leaves the studio is made for one plot, one budget and one family, never pulled from a shelf.
- Drawn around your plot and its light
- Costed honestly before you commit
- Detailed for the trades who build it

“We do not decorate a plan after the fact. The light, the mass and the joint are the design.”
