Report & Resolve

Report & Resolve: an attorney in a client meeting

Good communication is part of good representation. You should never have to wonder what is happening in your case or who to call with a question.

Every active client receives a written update at least every two weeks, even when the news is simply that we are waiting on the other side. Updates describe what happened, what comes next and any decision you will need to make, written in plain language rather than legal shorthand. If a term does need explaining, we explain it once and keep a short glossary in your file for later reference. Updates arrive by email unless you ask for another method, and each one ends with the name of the person to call. When nothing has changed, we still tell you so, because silence is often the most stressful part of a legal matter.

When something important happens, such as a new offer, a ruling or a scheduling change, your attorney calls you directly. Urgent questions receive a same-day reply, and each client has a direct line to the paralegal who knows the file. You will never be passed to a general voicemail box or asked to repeat your story to someone new. If your attorney is in court or away, the second attorney on your file responds instead, with full knowledge of the case. We track response times internally and review them each month to keep the promise we make at intake.

As the matter concludes we walk you through the final documents, confirm every obligation that remains and send a closing letter that records what was resolved. Many clients keep that letter with their important papers, and we remain available if questions come up later. Months after a matter closes, former clients often call about a related question, and we are glad to pick up where we left off. We also return original documents promptly and confirm in writing which records we keep and for how long. If a follow-on question arises, such as a change to an order or a new contract, we can reopen the file without starting from scratch.

1Why It Works

Why Our Process Keeps Cases on Track

Each stage has an owner, a deadline and a written record, so nothing depends on memory.

Written at Every Step

Summaries, plans and updates are written down, so you can revisit any decision later.

Deadlines Checked Twice

Every filing date is calendared by two people and confirmed again the week it falls due.

Second-Attorney Review

Key documents are read by a colleague before they go out, catching gaps early.

Decisions Stay Yours

We recommend and explain; you decide. No major step happens without your approval.

2Our Team

The People Behind Every Stage

Partners, associates and paralegals share each file, so the person who picks up your call already knows where the matter stands and what comes next.

Hannah BrooksIllustrative review

The first meeting was unhurried. I left with a written summary and a clear sense of my options.

Walter LindqvistIllustrative review

Every two weeks an update arrived, even when nothing much had changed. That steadiness helped more than I expected.

Nia CaldwellIllustrative review

They checked every deadline twice. I never once worried a filing would slip past a due date.

Jordan PikeIllustrative review

When an offer came in, they compared it with the range we set at the start. That made deciding easy.

Dana WhitcombIllustrative review

I always knew which stage we were in, who was working on it and what the next decision would be.

Colette AmesIllustrative review

The closing letter summed up everything we agreed. I keep it with my important papers at home.
