A first visit sets the tone for every visit after it. Puppies and kittens who meet us when they are young, with treats and gentle handling, often grow into adult pets who walk in the door without fuss.
We look at eyes, ears, mouth, heart, lungs, skin, belly and joints, weigh your pet and check for parasites. Then we talk through food, house training, socializing and what to expect over the next few months.
The best first visit is a boring one: lots of treats, a gentle exam and a family that leaves knowing exactly what comes next.
