Introduction to wrinkle relaxers
Wrinkle relaxers are small injections of a purified neuromodulator placed into specific facial muscles. The product quiets the muscle that folds the skin, so the crease above it has a chance to soften. It is the most common first treatment at our studio, and it is also the one people worry about most, usually because of a friend who came home looking surprised or frozen.
Our approach starts with how your face moves. Before we mark a single point, a nurse watches you frown, smile, squint and lift your brows, and notes where each line comes from. Dosing is planned for your muscles, not for a template, and first visits lean conservative. You can always add a few units at the two-week check; you cannot take them out.
What the appointment looks like
The visit takes about 20 minutes after your consultation. We cleanse the skin, offer a cold roller or numbing cream if you want it, and place a series of tiny injections with a very fine needle. Most clients describe it as a few quick pinches. You can return to work the same day, and the only visible signs are small bumps that settle within half an hour.
Results build slowly. Many clients notice the first change around day three or four, with the full effect at about two weeks. That is when we invite you back for a short check so we can look at the result together and make small adjustments if needed.
Benefits many clients notice
Relaxers do not fill or plump anything. They reduce the folding that etches lines over time, so the skin reads smoother and more rested while you still look like yourself.
- A calmer frown line that no longer reads as stress
- Softer crow's feet when you smile, without losing the smile
- Makeup that sits more evenly across the forehead

How long results usually last
Most people see results last three to four months, and some find the interval stretches a little with regular visits. Metabolism, exercise and the strength of the muscle all play a part, so we track your timeline in your chart rather than guessing. When movement starts to return it comes back gradually, never all at once, and lines return to where they were before, not worse.
Aftercare and your two-week check
Aftercare is simple. Stay upright for four hours, skip hot yoga, saunas and hard workouts until the next day, and avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas that evening. Light makeup is fine after a few hours. If you notice a small bruise, a cold compress and a little concealer usually hide it within days.
At the two-week visit we look at your expression from the front and both sides, compare it with your starting photos and note the dose that worked in your chart. That record means the next appointment starts from what we learned, not from scratch.
