Back and shoulder release
A focused forty five minutes on the areas that hold the most tension for desk workers, drivers and parents who carry little ones all day. We warm the back with hot towels, then work slowly through the shoulders, the base of the skull and along the spine.
Expect firmer pressure than our full body massage, with time spent on the knots you point out when you arrive. We finish with a short stretch for the neck and chest so you can feel the difference as soon as you sit up.
It fits into a long lunch, and many of our regulars book it every other week as maintenance between longer massages.
Why guests choose it
This is also the treatment we suggest before a long flight or a big week of travel. Loosening the upper back ahead of hours in a cramped seat makes a surprising difference to how you feel when you land, and it pairs well with a short scalp oil ritual if you have a little extra time.
This treatment was designed with our regulars who work long hours at desks and on their feet. They wanted something effective that fits into a lunch break, without the full undress and slow build of a longer massage.
Your therapist works with warm towels, focused thumb pressure and slow stretches rather than elbows or tools. The aim is not to push through pain, but to help tight muscles let go so you can move freely again by the afternoon.
Before you arrive
Point out your worst spots when you arrive; the more specific you are, the more of the forty five minutes we can spend where it matters. A quick note about your work setup or sleep position also helps.
Try not to arrive straight from a hard workout. Muscles that are already fatigued respond better to heat and slower pressure than to firm focused work.
Afterwards
Roll your shoulders gently a few times that evening and avoid carrying a heavy bag on one side. A warm shower before bed helps keep the muscles relaxed.
If you sit at a desk, raise your screen to eye level and take short breaks every hour. Small changes like these make each treatment last noticeably longer between visits.
Good to know
It is firmer than our standard massage, but always within your comfort. Tell your therapist to ease off at any point.
Some guests feel a little tender the next day, like after a good workout. Drink water and take a warm shower that evening.
The neck is included. Add the scalp and hair oil ritual for a longer, more relaxing finish.
Hot stone uses heat to relax the whole body slowly; this treatment uses hands and focused pressure on the upper back only.
You can keep your lower half dressed. The back and shoulders need to be uncovered for the warm towels and oil.
Every two to four weeks works well if you carry tension from work. Some regulars alternate it with a full body massage.

Built for the desk week
If your shoulders creep up toward your ears by Thursday, this is your booking. We keep the pace efficient without ever feeling rushed, and you can go straight back to work afterwards.
