What happens in Swedish Flow Massage

Swedish Flow is the massage we recommend when someone tells us they cannot remember the last time they felt properly rested. The work is gentle to moderate in pressure and moves in long gliding passes from the feet to the scalp, so the body never has to brace for what comes next.

Your therapist starts with a short conversation about sleep, desk hours and any spots that nag at you, then shapes the session around those answers. Warm oil, a heated table and a quiet room with the lights turned low do the rest of the work.

Most guests notice their breathing slow within the first ten minutes. By the end, shoulders sit lower, the jaw has unclenched and the mind has usually stopped making lists.

There is nothing to prepare. Arrive a little early, sip some tea in the lounge, and let us take it from there.

Who it suits best

Swedish Flow suits almost anyone who wants to feel looked after without an intense session. It is the booking we suggest most often to first-time guests and to anyone who simply wants a calm hour.

  • People who sleep badly after long, busy weeks
  • Desk workers with tight shoulders and a stiff neck
  • First-time guests who are unsure about pressure
  • Anyone who wants a gift that feels generous

Why guests book it

Easier sleep

A calmer evening tends to follow, which is why many guests book the late slot.

Looser shoulders

Gliding strokes warm the upper back where screen posture settles.

A reset button

Ninety quiet minutes without a phone is rarer than it should be.

Common questions

Is Swedish Flow a good choice for a first massage?

Yes. The pressure stays comfortable, the strokes are predictable and your therapist checks in early, so it is an easy introduction if you have never had bodywork before.

Can I ask for firmer pressure?

Of course. Say so at any point. If you want sustained deep work on one area, Deep Muscle Release may suit you better and we are happy to switch.

Do I need to undress completely?

Undress to your comfort level. You stay covered with a sheet and blanket the whole time and only the area being worked on is uncovered.

What oil do you use?

An unscented plant oil by default. We also keep a lightly scented option and a nut-free option; tell us about sensitivities when you book.

How often should I come back?

Many guests settle into a visit every three to five weeks. Others come before a busy season. There is no plan to sign up for.

Before you arrive

Eat lightly an hour or so before, and skip the strong coffee if you want to drift off. Wear whatever is comfortable; you will change in a private room with a robe and slippers waiting. If you have a cold, a fever or a fresh sunburn, please move your booking, and we will happily find another time without any fee.
