The short answer

A thermal circuit is a relaxed loop of warm rooms and rest: about ten minutes of steam or warm water, a short cool rinse, then ten minutes lying down, repeated two or three times. Bring swimwear, drink water and leave any room whenever you like.

If you have never done a thermal circuit, the idea of moving between hot and cool rooms can sound like a lot. In reality it is one of the gentlest things we offer, and you are in charge of every step.

Your first round

After changing and a quick shower, your host shows you the steam room, warm pool, garden shower and lounge. Start with ten minutes in the steam room or pool, rinse with cool water for a few seconds, then lie down in the lounge until your breathing feels slow and even.

There is no prize for staying in the longest. Leave the moment you have had enough.
