Long Strokes, Warm Oil And A Nervous System That Finally Lets Go

Our Swedish session is the one we recommend when someone says they cannot remember the last time they properly relaxed. The pressure is medium, the rhythm is slow and predictable, and the room stays quiet so your attention can drift away from your inbox and settle into your body.

Your therapist works from the back and shoulders out to the arms, legs and feet, using long gliding strokes, gentle kneading and a little rocking at the hips. The oil is warmed before it touches your skin and we choose an unscented base unless you ask for lavender, cedar or sweet orange.

It is a good first visit, a good monthly reset, and a good gift for someone who is nervous about massage. If you want more focus on one stubborn spot, say so in the consult and we will spend extra minutes there without turning the whole session into deep work.

After your session, take the stairs slowly, drink a glass of water and give yourself a quiet half hour if you can. Most guests book this every four to six weeks, and many pair it with the thermal ritual on a day off.

Especially good for:

  • First-time guests who want a gentle start
  • Busy weeks with shallow breathing and tight shoulders
  • Anyone who prefers quiet over conversation
  • A monthly reset you can actually keep

How Your Swedish Relaxation Unfolds, Step By Step

Short consult

5 min

We ask about pressure, areas to avoid and how you would like the room: music, silence or rain sounds.

Back and shoulders

20 min

Long strokes warm the tissue first, then slower kneading along the shoulder blades and the base of the neck.

Arms, legs and feet

25 min

Rhythmic work down the limbs, finishing with a slow foot sequence that most guests say is their favorite part.

Rest and tea

10 min

You get up in your own time. Herbal tea and water wait in the lounge.

Timings are a guide and shift to suit you.

Swedish Relaxation Questions

What Guests Ask Before Booking Swedish Relaxation

Still Wondering? Just Ask
Is Swedish session right for a first visit?

Yes. It is the treatment we suggest most often for first visits because the pressure is moderate and easy to adjust. You can ask for lighter or firmer work at any point.

Can I choose 90 minutes instead of 60?

You can. The 90 minute version adds a scalp and face sequence and more time on the legs. Book it online or ask at the front desk.

What should I wear?

Undress to your comfort level. You stay covered with a sheet and blanket the whole time, and only the area being worked on is uncovered.

Do you use scented oils?

The base oil is unscented. Lavender, cedar and sweet orange are available if you would like an aroma, and we always ask before adding one.
