About this service
Faster answers mean faster care
Waiting days for test results is stressful when a pet is unwell. Our own lab handles most blood panels and urine tests while you are still here, and our digital X-ray shows images on screen within minutes.
A doctor sits down with you to go through the results, points out what is normal and what is not, and lays out the next step. You get copies by email, and every result is stored in the chart so trends are easy to compare.
When we recommend testing
Testing helps when a pet is sick, before anesthesia, when starting long-term medication and as a yearly baseline for seniors. We only suggest tests that will change what we do next.
Outside lab and second opinions
A few specialized tests go out to a reference lab, and some images benefit from a second read by a radiologist. We will tell you when that applies and how long it usually takes.
Lab work we run here
Complete blood counts, chemistry panels, urinalysis, fecal tests, skin and ear cytology and several rapid tests run on site. That covers most of what a sick or senior pet needs, and it means fewer second trips for a sample we could have collected the first time.
Imaging, explained
X-rays show bones, the chest and many belly problems. Ultrasound adds detail on organs and soft tissue. We start with the simplest test that can answer the question, and we explain what each one can and cannot show before you decide.
Preparing for tests
Some blood tests and most ultrasounds go best on an empty stomach. When you book, we tell you whether to hold breakfast and whether to bring a urine or stool sample, so the visit is not wasted.
Sharing results with other clinics
If your pet sees a referral hospital or a second clinic, we send lab results and full-resolution images the same day, with a short note from our doctor. You never have to carry films or chase faxes, and nobody repeats a test that was already done here.
FAQ
Questions owners often ask
Still unsure? Call (555) 208-4416 and a team member will help you choose.
When do results come back?
Most in-house blood and urine results are ready within the hour. Tests sent to an outside lab usually take two to five days.
Does my pet need to be sedated for X-rays?
Many pets hold still with gentle handling. Anxious or painful pets may need light sedation so the images are clear and the experience is calmer.
Can I see the X-rays?
Yes. We review images with you on screen and can email copies after the visit.
Do you offer ultrasound?
Yes, by appointment. Ultrasound helps us look at the abdomen and heart in more detail than an X-ray can.
Why run blood work on a healthy senior pet?
A yearly panel gives us a baseline, so small changes in kidney, liver or thyroid values stand out early.

Client notes
Owners on getting answers fast
Our blood work came back while we waited, and Dr. Reyes drew the plan on a notepad for us. No waiting by the phone for days.
I called at nine with a limping dog and was in an exam room by eleven. They made a stressful morning feel manageable.
We got a written estimate before anything happened, and the final bill matched it. That is why we drive across town to come here.
