Living Each Day with Help and Warmth in Portland

Needing a hand with the day should never shrink your world. Our assisted living suites pair private space with friendly, around-the-clock support, so residents can keep their routines, their hobbies and their sense of humour while we take care of the rest. The aim is simple: more good days.

Discover Assisted Living at Heathcote

At Alder Grove and Juniper Court, assisted living is about far more than daily help. Residents choose how they spend their time, join the clubs that interest them and keep the friendships that matter, with our team close by for anything they need.

Every suite has a private bathroom, an emergency call pendant and room for your own furniture. Housekeeping, laundry and three chef-cooked meals a day are included, along with scheduled transport to appointments around Portland.

Suites That Feel Like Your Own

Bring your favourite chair, hang your own photos and set up your suite the way you like it. Studio and one-bedroom suites look onto the gardens or the street, and many have a small kitchenette for tea and snacks.

Shared lounges, a library, a hair salon and a sunny dining room give you plenty of places to spend the day when you want company.

Wellbeing

Staying Active and Involved

Our resident life team plans a full weekly calendar with residents, from chair yoga and garden club to live music, film nights and outings around Portland on our own bus.

Visiting hairdressers, podiatrists and therapists come to the community, so appointments fit easily into the week. Residents help shape the calendar at a monthly meeting, so new clubs and outings appear whenever enough people ask for them.

Reassurance

Care Close at Hand, Day and Night

Caregivers are on site twenty-four hours a day, and a registered nurse oversees every support plan. Families get regular updates and a direct line to the care team.

When needs change, plans change with them, so moving to a different community is rarely necessary.
