Terms & Conditions
These terms explain how this website and the forms on it may be used. Take a few minutes with them before you browse, because contacting us or sending a form through the site means you agree to follow them.
Heathcote’s Approach to Using This Site
About this website
This website is operated by Heathcote Senior Communities, a fictional organisation shown here as a sample. The information on these pages is general in nature and describes services offered at our communities and through our in-home care team in Portland, Oregon. These terms apply to every page on the site and to every form you send through it. We may update them from time to time, and the version posted here is the one that applies on the day you visit. If we make a significant change, we will note the date at the top of this page. By continuing to use the site after a change, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the website and contact our team by phone instead, and we will be glad to help. Earlier versions of these terms are available on request from our support office.
Using the site responsibly
You agree to use this website lawfully and in a way that does not harm it or other visitors. You must not try to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, introduce malicious code, scrape or collect information about other people, or interfere with how the site works for anyone else. You must not use our forms to send unsolicited advertising, offensive material or messages written to mislead our staff. If you break these terms, we may restrict or end your access without notice and keep a record of what happened. Nothing in this section limits any other right we have under the law. If you notice something on the site that seems broken or unsafe, please tell us so we can fix it. Reports can be made anonymously, and we will never ask for a password or payment details by email.
Content and ownership
Text, photographs, artwork and other material on this website belong to Heathcote or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for private reading at home, but not for any business purpose. You may not copy, republish, sell or adapt any material without our written permission, and any copy you keep must include this notice. Photographs on this website are illustrative and may not show actual residents, staff or buildings. Room types, prices and availability described on the site are illustrative too, and are not an offer of accommodation or care. Our name and the leaf mark beside it are ours, and you may not use them in a way that suggests we endorse you, your business or a product. Requests to quote or reproduce our material for a school project or a community newsletter are usually approved within a week.
Accuracy of information
We work to keep the information on this website accurate and current, but we cannot promise that it is complete or free from error. Nothing on this site is medical, legal or financial advice, and it should not be relied on in place of advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation. Please speak with our team, and with your own advisers, before making decisions about care, housing or money. Services, rates and availability change from time to time, and the details in a signed residency or service agreement always take priority over anything written on this website. If you spot something that looks out of date, we would be grateful if you let us know. We review every page at least twice a year and after any change to our services, rates or staffing.
Forms and enquiries
When you send a tour request, a pricing question, a job application or a volunteer form, you agree that we may contact you by phone, email or post about that enquiry. Please give accurate details and only send information about another person if you have their permission to do so. We aim to reply within two business days, and sooner for urgent questions about a short stay or a hospital discharge. Sending a form does not reserve a suite, confirm a care plan or create an employment relationship; each of those needs a separate written agreement. On this sample site, forms do not send data anywhere at all. They show a confirmation message so you can see how the finished site would behave. Please do not enter sensitive health information into a sample form.
Privacy
We use the personal details you share only to answer your enquiry and to provide the services you ask about. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with marketers. Access is limited to the staff who need it to help you, and we keep records only as long as the law or your care requires. You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal duty to keep certain records. Health information shared during a care assessment is handled with extra care and is never used for marketing. Questions about privacy can be sent to our privacy lead through the contact details at the end of this page. We will reply within thirty days and explain any information we are required to keep.
Links to other websites
This website may link to pages run by other organisations, such as government agencies, local transport services or community groups. We provide those links for convenience only. We do not control those websites, we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link does not mean we endorse the organisation behind it. Please read the terms and privacy notice of any website you visit through a link on our pages. If you find a link that no longer works or leads somewhere unexpected, let us know and we will review it. Social media buttons on this sample site are placeholders and do not connect to any real account. We check the links on this website regularly but cannot promise that every outside page stays available.
Accessibility
We want this website to be easy to use for everyone, including people who use screen readers, magnification or keyboard navigation. We design pages with clear headings, readable text and enough colour contrast, and we test them on phones, tablets and desktop screens. If any part of the site is hard to use, please call or email us and we will provide the information in another way, such as a printed brochure, a phone conversation or a large-print copy. We review feedback about accessibility every quarter and use it to plan improvements to the site and to our printed materials. Large-print menus and activity calendars are also available at every reception desk.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Heathcote is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using this website, from being unable to use it, or from relying on information published on it. This includes loss caused by viruses, technical faults or interruptions that are outside our reasonable control. We do not exclude any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for our own negligence where the law says it cannot be limited. Your rights as a resident or client are set out in your residency or service agreement and in Oregon law, and nothing on this website reduces those rights in any way. If you are unsure how these terms affect you, please ask our team before relying on the website.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, and any dispute about them will be handled by the courts of Oregon. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the terms continue to apply. Questions about these terms, about privacy or about anything else on this website can be sent to hello@heathcote.example or raised by phone on (555) 018-4400 between 8 am and 6 pm, seven days a week. You can also write to us at our support office, 410 SW Linden Street, Suite 200, Portland, OR 97204, and we will reply in writing. These terms were last reviewed in September 2026.
