Ashworth Properties, Scottsdale
A small brokerage that writes everything down.
Ashworth Properties has helped people buy, sell and look after homes across the Scottsdale area since 2008. We are six agents and one office in Old Town, and we work the way we would want someone to work for us: we measure rooms ourselves, walk the street before a tour, and put every recommendation in writing so you can read it twice.
That habit shows up everywhere. Buyers get a one-page sheet on each home with sun hours, utility history and recent sales nearby. Sellers get the full list of comparable sales behind our price range, not a single number. Owners who rent out a home get a monthly report they can finish in five minutes. None of it is complicated. It just takes care, and care is the part most clients remember.

Desert homes, shown with care.
We list and show homes across Scottsdale the slow way: measured rooms, honest notes on light and noise, and a walk of the street before anyone books a tour. You see the house as it is.

How we work
What working with us looks like
01
A conversation first
Every client relationship starts with a call or a coffee, not a contract. We ask how your week runs, what the move needs to solve and what your timing really is. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and suggest someone who is.
02
A plan in writing
Within two days you get a short written plan: the areas or price range we would focus on, what each step costs and the dates that matter. You can change any of it. Having it on paper keeps everyone honest, including us.
03
One agent, start to finish
The agent you meet first stays with you through closing. Colleagues help with staging, investment math or relocation logistics, but you always have one name and one phone number to call.
04
Notes after every step
After each tour, pricing call or inspection we send notes you can keep: what we saw, what it means and what we suggest next. Clients tell us those notes are why escrow felt calm.
Where we work
Neighborhoods we know well
Scottsdale is a long city with very different housing from one end to the other. These are the areas where we show and sell most often, with the kind of homes you will find and an illustrative starting price for each.

Old Town
Lofts, townhomes, new row homes
Homes within walking distance of galleries, restaurants and the weekly farmers market. Expect HOA dues, shared walls and some event-weekend noise in exchange for leaving the car at home.
From about $700K

McCormick Ranch
Single-level homes, 1970s to 1980s
Established homes set around lakes, greenbelts and a long paved path. Many are ready for updating, which keeps prices below newer areas nearby.
From about $850K

North Scottsdale
Newer homes on larger lots
Mountain views and trail access north of the 101. Drive times are longer, and summer cooling costs depend heavily on orientation and glass.
From about $1.2M

Arcadia edge
Mid-century ranches
Flat, tree-lined streets, many still on historic flood irrigation that keeps citrus and lawns green. Original homes are getting scarce as lots are rebuilt.
From about $1.1M

Paradise Valley
Custom homes on acre lots
Hillside views and strict building rules. Sales are private and slower, and documentation of every system matters to buyers at this level.
From about $3M

Downtown and the canal
Condos and lofts
Pool decks, secure parking and shops on foot along the canal walk. Read the HOA reserve study closely; it tells you more than the lobby does.
From about $600K

Turns a cluttered listing into a clear story buyers can walk through.

Questions
Before you call
Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Fountain Hills and north Phoenix. For other parts of Arizona we refer you to agents we have worked with and trust.
Ask for a written valuation. We compare recent closed sales near you, adjust for size, lot, pool, updates and orientation, and send a price range with every comparable listed. It is free and there is no obligation.
It helps. A pre-approval letter tells you your real budget and is expected with most offers. We can introduce local lenders, and you are welcome to use your own.
Yes. We coordinate both sides so the dates line up, and we explain the options plainly if you need to sell first, buy first or close both on the same day.
Fees depend on the service and are agreed in writing before any work begins. First calls, valuations and planning meetings are free.
Yes. Our management team handles leasing, rent collection, maintenance and monthly reporting for homes and condos on leases of six months or longer.
